Results importing gets smarter
Running a racing community should not mean spending your evening decoding spreadsheets, copying names from one screen to another, or wondering why someone did not get their championship points.
This update is a big step toward making results management faster, clearer, and much harder to get wrong. We have expanded the formats Grid Finder can import, improved automatic driver matching, and added stronger safeguards around results that are not assigned to Grid Finder accounts.
More ways to import results
Results importing now supports a wider range of formats across ACC, Automobilista, Automobilista 2, Project CARS 2, RaceRoom, rFactor, and additional rFactor-family exports.
Assetto Corsa Evo JSON exports are supported too, including practice, qualifying, warmup, and race sessions. That means more communities can get from race export to published standings with less manual cleanup.

Faster driver matching
The matching flow has been tightened up so organisers can choose the most useful identifier for the import they are working with.
For example, AC and ACC events can lean on Steam details, while iRacing events can use iRacing account details. If a selected field is missing, Grid Finder now falls back to the driver's Grid Finder username or the relevant game account instead of leaving organisers staring at Not provided.
That should make the matching screen easier to scan, especially when you are switching between Discord usernames, platform IDs, real names, and Grid Finder usernames to work out who is who.

Clear warnings for unassigned results
Sometimes an import contains a name that cannot be confidently matched to a Grid Finder account. Previously, that could be too easy to miss.
Those rows now stand out more clearly in the editor, with a visible warning that the name came from the results file and still needs assigning to a driver.
If a manager tries to save or publish while those rows are still unassigned, Grid Finder now warns that results not assigned to Grid Finder accounts will not accumulate points over a season. Managers can still continue if that is intentional, but the risk is no longer hidden.

Better handling for real-world championship rules
We have also added DNF (points) alongside DNF (no points).
Most championships do not award points to drivers marked as DNF, but some communities do. This gives organisers a clearer way to record that distinction without bending the results into a status that does not quite fit.

A smoother results page
There are a few quality-of-life improvements in the results area too:
- Race session labels now make the session clearer, including Race 1 and Race 2 where relevant.
- Result editor breadcrumbs now use the specific race label instead of a generic "Race".
- The public results heading and display-name dropdown line up more neatly.
- The display-name dropdown stays visible even on sessions without published results, reducing layout jumps when switching between sessions.
- Importing from event attendees now applies the selected attendees correctly after a successful import.

Built for league managers
The goal with this update is simple: fewer fiddly edits, fewer missed matches, and more confidence that a published results table will turn into the right season standings.
There is still more we want to do here, but this update should make importing and publishing race results feel noticeably faster for the communities using Grid Finder every week.
